It builds on the long-term development of <a href=\"https:\/\/hw-wiegandt.de\/en\/seawater-and-reef-aquaristics\/hw-sea-salt\/\">hw sea salts<\/a>. We continually review and develop our production and mixing processes.<\/p>\n<p>The mix is intended for marine community aquariums and specialised applications with LPS and SPS corals, in breeding facilities and research institutions. Adjust maintenance and water parameters to the needs of the organisms kept or the particular application.<\/p>\n<h2>Measure water parameters and supplement according to demand<\/h2>\n<p>The parameters of freshly prepared seawater depend on the source water, amount of salt and mixing conditions, among other factors. Check salinity or density at the intended temperature and the other parameters relevant to your livestock.<\/p>\n<p>When testing shows a need, you can supplement calcium, magnesium and alkalinity with <a href=\"https:\/\/hw-wiegandt.de\/en\/product\/hw-calciummarin\/\">hw CalciumMarin<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/hw-wiegandt.de\/en\/product\/hw-magnesiummarin\/\">hw MagnesiumMarin<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/hw-wiegandt.de\/en\/product\/hw-buffermarin\/\">hw BufferMarin<\/a>. Follow each product\u2019s instructions and monitor the results rather than dosing indiscriminately.<\/p>\n<p>The carbonate buffer system contributes to the buffering capacity of seawater. It does not replace regular pH and alkalinity testing. Precipitation depends on water chemistry and the conditions during mixing and dosing.<\/p>\n<h2>Raw materials and quality checks<\/h2>\n<p>We use tested salts of high purity, in pharmaceutical grade where available. The mix contains no chemical binding or complexing agents.
